The award-winning Lismore Visitor Information Centre is much more than a Visitor Centre - it's an experience. The centre's aim is to be a link between visitors and the rich source of environmental, cultural and economic resources in Lismore and the Northern Rivers.

As Lismore is on the doorstep to spectacular rainforest, the centre features an Indoor Rainforest, which takes up half the area of the building. It was designed to give visitors a taste of what they will find in the region.

It has a waterfall, videos and models of native flora and fauna and displays telling the story of the sometimes controversial history of some of the rainforest areas.

The centre is located in Heritage Park, which features a Tiny Tots Adventure Park with swings, rides and a miniature train. Also a skate ramp and barbecues, picnic tables, a playground and toilets are located on this site.
