Tathra Oysters are grown in the pristine waters of Nelson Lake in Mimosa Rocks National Park. This family business has won numerous awards for their oysters.
The secret to their success is in their unique location. Oysters are very much products of their environment and no other oysters in NSW are grown in such pristine wilderness as the Tathra Oysters farms.
Visitors are encouraged to call into the Tathra Oysters' shop where they can select from opened and unopened oysters.
They only sell oysters in prime condition, and therefore have a restricted harvest season. Generally oysters are available from December through to June, with the season being longer in milder conditions.
