Learn about foraging for wild food and join their mushroom foraging workshops in April and May 2020 when the Autumn weather signals there are mushrooms in the forest.
Your day starts as you embark on fresh Mushroom Hunt with Highland local 'master forager' Joanne who runs an outdoor laboratory, growing a large variety of edible flowers, fruits, vegetables, herbs and edible ‘weeds’. She supplies local restaurants like Biota and Grand Bistro with her produce. Ravenous and eager to try the freshest of mushrooms you have carefully located, they will pan fry them with butter and salt until they perfectly caramelised and serve with fresh locally made sour dough.
They offer piping hot coffee and the opportunity to taste a few local cool climate wines as well with their partners Centennial Vineyard, Tertini Wines and Cherry Tree Hill Wines.
