Tucked away in the industrial estate of South Nowra lays Old Salt Distillery, run by husband and wife - Terry and Michelle Robinson. Both originally chefs from Sydney they have made a move to the South Coast to open their dream concept.

This small batch distillery carefully distills a range of award winning gins, vodka and fruit liqueurs all which can be enjoyed at the distillery's bar, whilst whisky quietly ages in barrels.

Unlike most industrial-estate brewers and distillers, Old Salt features an open kitchen, wood-fired grill and a menu that hints at this couple’s fine-dining past (they both worked at Sepia in Sydney); they source quality and seasonal produce. Regular staples on the menu include their house-made chicken liver parfait and the passionfruit cheesecake.

The couple’s inventiveness extends to the drinks on tap: think house-made sodas such as blackberry, ginger beer and rose and lychee; fresh-fruit seltzers such as a blood orange and passionfruit hard seltzer; and seasonal craft beer releases such as cherry sour (created using 20kg of hand-pitted cherries) and milk-chocolate stout.

Actively welcomes people with access needs.
