Flamin Galah Brewing Co
Overview
Flamin Galah Brewing Co is located within Huskisson’s industrial estate, not far from the world-famous white sands of Jervis Bay. It’s a deceptively large set-up, with tables on a front lawn, more inside at the bar and a back beer garden with seating for 120.
The brewery was founded by born-and-bred locals Sam and Claire Hewson in 2018. Sam, who was a builder before he was a brewer, built the brewery with the help of his team and it opened in 2021.
Stroll in over the fake lawn, take a galah-pink seat and peruse the selection of eight brews (the tinnies resemble works of art). These include the best-selling Flamin Galah Pale Ale (a laidback surfer graces the can) and XPA (dog lovers might try it for the hound-inspired artwork alone), the Pilot New England IPA and the Iwatakè IPA with notes of lime, peach and apricot.
There’s an onsite food truck, The Nest, dishing out perfect food-that-goes-with-beer like battered-flathead tacos, vegan quesadillas or a bao buns.
