Lake Jindabyne Dragon Boat Challenge - Festivals and Celebrations, Sporting Events
Dragon Boat racing is an exciting and competitive watersport which hs been in popularity as a relatively new sport in Australia. The forty foot long dragon boats are brightly painted and decorated with a dragons head and tail. Each cres paddles with a drummer to keep time and a steerer to control the boat.
The races are exciting and spectacular to watch. Last years event saw 20 local community teams slog it out for the top price.
The Race is held in conjuction with the Flowing Festival held all weekend.
