Scenic drive through NSW Snowy Mountains
This scenic touring route passes through the foothills of the New South Wales Snowy Mountains, from Gundagai to Beechworth.
Explore the breathtaking scenery and small country towns along the 300 km drive. In NSW, you'll pass through Gundagai, Tumut and Tumbarumba before crossing the border to Victoria. With its meandering back roads, the Snowys Valley Way is a leisurely alternative to the busy highways that link Sydney and Melbourne.
Along the way, you'll enjoy outdoor adventures, seasonal festivals and events, and quaint country towns. Don't forget to sample the delicious cool-climate wines of the Tumbarumba region, direct from the cellar door or at local pubs, cafes and restaurants. This easy drive is perfect to explore at any time of the year but autumn is when many locations are at their most colourful.
