About Dapto
Dapto is famous for its links with greyhound racing. The Dapto Greyhound Racing Club, known locally as the Dapto Dogs, attracts competitions and spectators from all over the Illawarra region and beyond.
The region was first settled by timber cutters and farmers. Be sure to explore Lake IIlawarra, a paradise for aquatic enthusiasts, offering a choice of sailing, waterskiing, canoeing and fishing. Nearby, Stanwell Park and Thirroul are worth a visit.
