Fish viewing and hand fish feeding - Lord Howe Island
Neds Beach Sanctuary Zone offers a unique opportunity to view an amazing diversity of fish and marine life close to shore.
There is a special purpose zone here to allow visitors to view and experience limited hand feeding of fish.
To help keep marine life healthy, there is soon to be a fish food dispenser located at the Neds Beach shelter where visitors can access a handful of healthy fish food. Research has found that too much food or the wrong type of food can be harmful to marine wildlife. Visitors can also enjoy the commentary of the local operator who feeds the fish daily at low tide (weather dependent).
Discover a wonderland of coral and marinelife close to shore. Observe curious kingfish, silver drummer, bluefish, colourful reef fish and larger creatures like turtles and Galapagos whaler sharks. Lord Howe Island Marine Park - worth discovering, worth protecting.
