Booking a tour of the Hunter Valley is a great way to sample some of the tastiest food and wine from around the region. Whether you’re getting around by bus or bicycle, Segway or stallion, there’s plenty to do and see along the way.

Horse riding is a fantastic way to take in the rolling hills of Molly Morgan Range. The views across the wine country are spectacular and there’s plenty of places to stop for a picnic along the way.

Visitors can choose a different kind of tour with a Segway experience around the vines of Lovedale. The tour also shows off the local wildlife, including possible sightings of kangaroos, foxes and even the odd wombat.

For a taste of Aboriginal culture and lore, a series of experienced local guides will share their knowledge of culturally significant sites around the Hunter Wine Country. These tag along tours include visits to traditional meeting places and ceremonial spots, cave visits and storytelling.

Spend a day sampling the fine produce of local vineyards during a Hunter Valley wine tour. Stop by the cellar doors of some the region’s famed wineries, such as Tyrell’s Vineyards and McGuigan Wines, or make your way to the homes of boutique labels.

Bus tours depart from Sydney daily and are designed to include the best wine, wildlife and convict tales from the region. A range of private tours can also be tailored to individual and group preferences.
