Camyr Allyn Homestead is a Grand Federation homestead originally established by Charles Boydell who settled on the property in 1828. This beautiful historic farm is situated in the Barrington region of the Hunter Valley with breathtaking views of the Allyn River Valley. Nearby historic towns of Morpeth, Paterson, and Dungog offer art, craft and antique shops with numerous restaurants and cafes on offer.

The homestead accommodates up to 12 guests (in either king or twin share combinations). Breakfast provisions are included and other meals can be catered on request. In the case of workshops or retreats, full board is provided as agreed.

Absorb the fresh country air and relax by the pool or retreat indoors to play billiards. Depending on the season you can swim and relax around the pool or at the river frontage, enjoy the spa, or tuck yourself away on the lounge by the fireplace. The unique Australian wildlife includes kangaroos grazing amidst contented Camyr Allyn cattle, platypi in the Allyn River, and rich and diverse native bird life.

The location is convenient for visiting the local vineyards of the Hunter Valley not to mention the many gourmet restaurants. Other activities include fishing the Allyn River, and hiking the Barrington Tops National Park. Finally, the manager can also provide yoga and meditation classes if you so desire.
