Housed in a beautifully preserved 1876 building, the Queanbeyan Museum houses an interesting collection of memorabilia from the area.

The Museum has themed displays including Queanbeyan's Story Begins - the Ngambri people, early exploration and settlers, the 'From Settlement to Town' display featuring the railway, telephones, shopkeepers, plumbers, builders, barbers, schooling and courthouses. Bushrangers, Villains and Larrikins - local bushranging from the convict and gold rush eras, The Old Blacksmith's Shop - as it was in the 1900s, That's Entertainment - featuring cameras, radios, fiddles and accordians, Phonographs and Photographs - spotlight on businessman and entrepreneur Theo Cooper, Queanbeyan Medical Practices - featuring an original iron lung and historical mural by acclaimed artist Margaret Hadfield and much, much more.
