Basalt Luxury Accommodation

Perched 1,100 metres above sea level, Basalt Luxury Accommodation is the highest stay in the region. Set on the top block of a family-owned cherry orchard, the three rammed earth studios have spectacular 180-degree views of the valley below. Nashdale Lane Glamping

Stay close to nature without sacrificing any of your creature comforts at Nashdale Lane Wines, a boutique vineyard just 10 minutes' outside of town. There are two adults-only Scandinavian-style glamping tents – Rustig and Kalmte – each with luxurious bathrooms, four-poster beds, wood fires and plenty of pinot.

Duntryleague Guest House

Spend the night in Orange's grandest historic mansion, Duntryleague. Built by prominent local figure James Dalton in 1876, it was designed by famed Sydney architect Benjamin Backhouse. It now has 14 guest rooms overlooking vast gardens and an 18-hole golf course.

Set high on a ridge opposite Lake Canobolas, Borrodell Estate winery invites you to linger a little longer. There are two sleek modern Cider Suites for couples, with floor-to-ceiling glass windows looking out over the Towac Valley. Order in a dinner hamper (with a bottle of wine, of course) and spend the night away from it all. Families will love the. two three-bedroom cottages, with kangaroos and birds just beyond the verandah.

The Oriana

Built in the 1960s, The Oriana has been given a retro-chic makeover that brings a bit of Palm Springs style to the Central West. Vibrant colours, bold artworks and quirky furnishings create an atmosphere that's both luxurious and light-hearted.
