The Blue Frog Truffle Farm (or truffiere), has been harvesting black truffles (T. melanosporum) since 2007. The farm is located just north of Canberra (5 kilometres from the ACT border), close to the Federal Highway and was established in 2003 with the planting of just over two hectares of oaks and hazelnut trees. The area was increased in 2008, with additional oaks, to approximately 4.5 hectares.

During the harvest Season, from mid Jue to mid August, the Blue Frog Farm owners, Wayne and Lanie Haslam and son Justin Haslam and partner Sabrina Way, harvest twice a week and conduct truffle hunts for the general public on Sundays, from 10:00 am.
