The body of artwork grapples with Australia's resistance to environmental change, exploring themes of apathy, materialism and denial. As political and scientific discourse offers little comfort, Paula's drawings reflect inward, documenting local native flora not in a scientific sense, but with emotional resonance, capturing a fragile connection to the natural world that still endures, even in the face of despair.
