The twin cities of Albury and Wodonga sit either side of the Murray River; Albury is on the north bank in NSW and Wodonga is on the south bank in Victoria. The events calendar of these twin towns is a busy one, with everything from music events and sports to food and arts festivals.
In the warmer months, pop by the QEII Square Twilight Markets on the second Thursday of the month and see over 70 boutique stall holders selling their home-grown and homemade goods. Music-wise, many of the local and national acoustic, rock and country acts tend to tour this major regional centre, and there’s also an annual comedy festival held in October in Albury.
There are plenty of fun activities to keep you occupied in Albury-Wodonga. Head out onto the water for canoeing, kayaking or fishing, or explore the streets and historic buildings in Albury; the Albury Library Museum should be your first stop.
