The Robert Stein Winery and cellar door is located just a short drive from the centre of Mudgee, in the Central West of New South Wales.
With a wine growing family lineage dating back to 1838, the vineyard, which was established in 1976, is now producing award-winning reds, whites and fortifieds. The James Halliday Wine Companion rates the Robert Stein Winery as a Red Five Star Winery.
At Robert Stein there are beautiful panoramic views of the Mudgee district, a vintage motorcycle display, the cellar door offers wine tastings and the highly regarded Pipeclay Pumphouse Restaurant (bookings advised).
The full range of wines, made on site from grapes grown on the property, can be can be tasted at the cellar door, many of which have received awards, medals and trophies.
The cellar door and Motorcycle Museum are open from 10am to 4.30pm daily (excluding Christmas Day and Boxing Day). Winery tours can be arranged by appointment only.
Buses and coach tours are welcome by appointment.
