Australia's Big Golden Guitar Tourist Centre, situated on the New England Highway in Tamworth, New South Wales, is open seven days a week.
The guitar, a symbol of the Country Music Festival and foundation of the Golden Guitar Awards, holds a special place in the heart of Tamworth. What began as just a handful of guitars has now grown to a collection of over 20 guitars autographed by Australian and International country music icons.
With one of the city's most interesting and unique attractions 'The Gallery of Stars' Wax Museum and 'The Collectors Museum' featuring Sir Donald Bradman the centre is a must for the country music fan and the sporting enthusiast.
Visitors can relax with food and refreshments in the Golden Guitar Coffee Shop, browse through the large selection of Australian and international country music CDs and DVDs or purchase unique Tamworth Country Music Capital souvenirs or gifts.
