Orange Regional Gallery - Orange
Orange is a city rich in culture and contributing to its cultural prosperity is the Orange Regional Gallery.
The Gallery’s architects were honoured to be awarded the 1986 Sulman Prize for Architectural Merit.
The Gallery collects Australian contemporary paintings and prints. It also specialises in jewellery, ceramics and clothing. This last category concentrates on articles that reflect Orange’s agricultural history and in particular, the wool industry.
Since opening in 1986, 350,000 people have visited the Gallery, which has established a reputation as one of the finest regional art museums in Australia. It continues to be one of the best patronised and busiest regional galleries in Australia, holding around 30 exhibitions annually.
Opening times
Open Tuesday-Saturday 10.00 am-5.00 pm, Sunday 12.00pm-4.00pm. Closed Monday. Open all Public Holidays from 12.00pm-4.00pm, except Christmas Day and Good Friday.
