Taronga Western Plains Zoo - Dubbo

With more than 300 hectares of bushland, Taronga Western Plains Zoo is home to 600 animals from all over the world. It is widely recognised as Australia's greatest open range zoo. The adventure begins with a journey along the six kilometre World Safari circuit in your own car. Alternatively, you can hire an electric car or bike at the zoo.

You can also participate in Animal Encounters; three tours that give visitors the opportunity to feed, observe and assist with programs for Black, White and Greater One-horned Rhinos, Sumatran Tigers and African Lions. Bookings are essential.

For a special adventure, Zoofari Lodge offers on site zoo accommodation.
