About Barham

Barham is a pretty Country NSW town on the Murray River, with lakes and nearby red gum forests to explore. Its twin town, Koondrook, is on the southern side of the river. Barham is a great base from which to explore the Murray.

Barham Lakes, surrounded by grasslands and native plants, has excellent picnic spots, a walking track and a riverbank beach for hot days. Head off with a local operator on a fishing trip on the Murray River for Murray cod, golden perch, silverfish, catfish and yabbies.

Barham has its own championship golf course, one of the finest of the many courses along the Murray. Don't miss Barham Bridge over Murray River, completed in 1904 and now heritage-listed.

Natural attractions in the Deniliquin area include the wonderful Murray Valley National Park and the Blowhole, a sacred site for local Aboriginal people. There's also plenty of good food and wine destinations, a rich arts and heritage scene and good accommodation.
