Mildura is in the heart of the Murray Darling wine region. Drop by the cellar doors of wineries such as Oak Valley Estate and Chateau Mildura, and become an expert on local varietals like chardonnay and shiraz. Head to Langtree Avenue, also known as Feast Street, for charming wine bars, lively pubs and acclaimed restaurants.

Mildura’s vibrant and diverse events calendar provides plenty of reasons to visit. The 10-day Mildura Country Music Festival is a wonderful Spring event, attracting more than 80 performers and thousands of fans. Other popular annual events include the Mildura Summer Music Festival and Mildura Writers Festival.

Departing from Mildura, Mungo Guided Tours will take you on a day trip to the spectacular ancient landscapes of Mungo National Park. Other tours closer to Mildura include riding a tractor train through orchards at Orange World and a self-guided walking tour that captures the town’s historic buildings.

Mildura Airport is less than 10km from Mildura. Use the taxi services at the airport to make the short trip northeast to Mildura’s town centre. Alternatively, rent a car from the hire services available at the airport and explore the region at your own pace.

Regional Express flies to Melbourne and Broken Hill six days a week, and to Adelaide five days a week. QantasLink and Virgin Australia also operate daily direct flights between Mildura and Melbourne.
