Hello, my name is David Rogers and I am an over-enthusiastic landscape photographer. I am currently based on the beautiful Sapphire Coast NSW in one of the idyllic seaside towns.
I was fortunate to grow up in the area and spent my youth rock hopping along unspoiled coastlines and exploring the numerous NSW National Park hiking trails.
After many years of living and working away from the south coast I have recently returned to focus on my photography. My goal is to capture this intimate landscape at its best by understanding how each location reacts under different environmental conditions…whether it be the different seasons, sun angles, swell size, tide levels, wind directions, cloud patterns, star trails or moon cycles.
The Sapphire Coast (and surrounds) in my eyes is the perfect place to do this. There are so many unspoiled locations at easy reach…and if you are feeling more adventurous there are spectacular hidden beaches, rock pools, lakes, caves, rivers and waterfalls all within hiking distance. You can even catch whales breaching along ‘Humpback Highway’ during winter.
For me, loading the backpack with photography equipment and hiking out to shoot sunrise or sunset is the ultimate bliss. I hope you enjoy my work.
