Cooking Class on the Farm - From Scratch
Overview
This is a hands-on, on-farm cooking experience. A detailed workshop featuring a number of key foods that once were commonly made in everyday kitchens, bringing them back into modern kitchens.
At the start of the day, a farmhouse morning tea is enjoyed, followed by a walk all over the farm, exploring everything on offer. The rest of the day is spent in the farm's commercial kitchen learning how to make no-knead bread, butter, wheat crackers, ghee, zucchini pickles, mayonnaise and olive dip. It's a big list but most of these things are pretty simple and quick.
A delicious long-table farm lunch is included, and participants take home a bag of sensational from-scratch food (including a loaf of fresh baked bread), along with recipes, new ideas and inspiration.
This class includes: morning tea, two course lunch, take home a loaf of fresh bread, a jar of handmade butter, a jar of ghee, a container of whole-egg mayonnaise, a container of olive dip, a bag of rosemary and seasalt crackers, a jar of sweet and sour zucchini pickles, a booklet of recipes and instructions.
This is an absolutely hands-on class limited to a small group. Bookings essential.
