Shellharbour South Beach is a scenic and peaceful coastal escape, perfect for visitors looking to enjoy the seaside without the crowds. Sheltered from the predominant north-east winds and much of the summer swell, the beach offers a calmer, more relaxed beach experience that's ideal for swimming, unwinding, or simply soaking up the views.

Convenient car parking is available on John Street, Shellharbour, with a secondary car park located nearby on Boollwaroo Parade in Shell Cove. For added comfort, public toilets and outdoor showers are close at hand.

The beach is patrolled during the summer Christmas school holidays, autumn weekends, and the April school holidays—be sure to check the council website for full patrol details. Visitors are also encouraged to visit BeachSafe for the latest surf conditions and safety information before heading down.
