The Far South Film Festival (FSFF)is held annually in August and showcases stories told by regional filmmakers from all over Australia. The 2022 Festival will be a hybrid live/virtual event be held on 19 - 21 August in Merimbula.

The festival is produced by Far South Film Inc, a not-for-profit incorporated association of professional and emerging filmmakers and digital creatives living in South East regional NSW.

We invite our fellow filmmakers from regional and remote areas of Australia to submit short films under 40 minutes in length that reflect the people, environment and issues that matter to you ,to our festival.

In 2022, film screenings, Q&A sessions and awards will be live in Merimbula NSW as well as online!

We look forward to watching the unique, the beautiful, the scary and the moving stories from filmmakers living outside the metropolitan areas of our island continent.
