Overview
The Fungi Feastival is a month-long celebration of all things fungi from Eden to Batemans Bay!
There is so much to learn from Fungi, and a range of fun activities will be available throughout the festival.
The science of fungi. There is so much to choose from: Fungi forays and workshops with fungi econolgist Alison Pouliot; "Fungi - the Web of Life" by aclaimed British biologist, Dr. Merlin Sheldrake (with more of world-famous fungi hunter and photographers Stephen Axfords amazing time lapse photos), forays designed for citizen scientists with Pam O'Sullivan and Marita Smith; workshops with fungi specialists from Western Sydney University on fungi in agriculture and forestry, and workshops on growing gourmet mushrooms and truffles.
Cooking and eating with fungi. Join a lesson on how to cook mushrooms and truffles or a truffle hunt; try a mushroom or truffle dish at participating cafes and restaurants; experience an amazing mushroom or truffle dinner at a restaurant; or purchase gourmet mushrooms and truffles to cook your meal.
The art of fungi. Fungi photography, movies, pottery, and five exhibitions. So many options.
