Australia Day 2026

Wodonga Council will celebrate Australia Day with its new citizens and award winners in a ceremony at the Baranduda Fields Sporting Complex.

Celebrate the occasion with live music, delicious food, free coffee by Pony Espresso and fun activities for the entire family including face painting and a petting zoo.

Make the most of the event at the Baranduda Fields Sporting Complex with its exciting, state-of-the-art facilities, undercover grandstand seating and welcoming greenspaces that make it the perfect backdrop for Australia Day.

The event kicks off from 7:00 AM, with the official ceremony taking place from 8:30 AM to 9:30 AM where 53 new citizens will take their oath and the 2026 Australia Day Awards will be presented. Festivities will conclude at 10:30 AM.

Please note that this event has been moved to the Baranduda Fields Sporting Complex as the previously listed venue, Wodonga Exhibition Centre, has been operating as an Emergency Relief Centre due to the fire situation across the region.
