The Southern Highlands Symphony Orchestra Spring Concert Series "La musique magnifique"

The Southern Highlands Symphony Orchestra invites you to indulge in the elegance, wit and vibrant colour of French music in a captivating concert La Musique Magnifique: A French Gala. Our sparkling program opens with Offenbach's Overture to Orpheus in the Underworld, with its risque gallop that shocked the Parisian audiences of the day.

We'll travel from the depths of the underworld to the elegance of Ravel, the passion of Bizet's Carmen and the joy of Berlioz's Harold in Italy, to celebrate some of France's most beloved orchestral music.

SHSO's Principal Viola Dr Tim Senior will feature as soloist in Berlioz's rarely performed masterpiece, under the baton of Creative Director and Conductor Dr Allan Stiles.

Herald the springtime with La Musique Magnifique, a local concert event not to be missed.
