Plant Propagation Workshop at Southern Highlands Botanic Gardens

Discover the secrets to successful plant propagation in this hands-on workshop at the Southern Highlands Botanic Gardens. Guided by experienced gardeners, participants will learn practical techniques to confidently grow new plants from cuttings, with plenty of real-world tips to use at home.

The workshop includes:
A guided walk through the botanic gardens to identify the best cutting material
How to correctly take and prepare cuttings for strong root development
Simple home propagation setups that improve success rates
Choosing the right propagation mix for natives and exotics
Tips for fertilising and caring for young plants
Knowing when and how to pot up cuttings for long-term growth

This is a highly practical workshop with plenty of hands-on learning, questions and demonstrations throughout the day. There is a break for a delicious morning tea including barista coffee and teas.
