Bland Shire Council has a new, purpose built dog park at Cooinda Reserve. The park is for dogs (and their owners) to exercise, with agility equipment and play off-leash in a controlled environment under the supervision of their owners.

The dog Park is named Mirri Ngurang. In the Wiradjuri language Mirri means dog and Ngurang means camp, town, place or nest.

Mirri Ngurang is both for locals of Wyalong and West Wyalong as well as for travelers and visitors who would like to exercise their dogs or simply give them a break from the tedium of their journey.

Actively welcomes people with access needs.
