Bland Shire Council has established a new, purpose-built dog park at Cooinda Reserve. This park is designed for dogs and their owners to exercise using agility equipment, allowing for off-leash play in a controlled environment under owner supervision.

The dog park is named Mirri Ngurang, with "Mirri" meaning dog and "Ngurang" meaning camp, town, place, or nest in the Wiradjuri language.

Mirri Ngurang serves both the local communities of Wyalong and West Wyalong, as well as travelers and visitors who wish to exercise their dogs or give them a break from their journey.
