This unique school conducts school lessons via satellite for children living on remote outback station homesteads. It is an essential service for families living in the outback, and offers you a fantastic opportunity to gain an understanding of the operations of a School of the Air.
Open for inspection, this is an educational experience for the whole family to enjoy. Bookings must be made one day prior at the Broken Hill Visitor Information Centre. Once a booking is made, directions to the School of the Air will be provided. Coach bookings may be accepted and some sessions may be cancelled without notice.
The session begins at 8.30 sharp. Visitors are advised to show up 10 to 15 minutes earlier. No entry after 8.30!
Open Time
Monday to Friday observation is 8.15am and end at 9.30am.
