The Queanbeyan-Palerang local history collection has moved to the former Queanbeyan Council Chambers building, now the Frank Pangallo Heritage Library.
The Heritage Library's extensive local history collection contains a wealth of historical resources with a wide selection of books on the history of Bungendore, Braidwood, Queanbeyan, and surrounding region. It is of particular interest to local residents, visitors, historians, descendants of early families of the region, researchers, and students. The Heritage Library also hosts revolving exhibitions of historical material from the collection, curated by their specialist staff.
Please drop in to visit the public reading room to browse the local and family history book collection, or make a research appointment with the team.
The Heritage Library has a bus stop nearby, and has car parking within walking distance. There are steps at the front of the building, but alternate accessible entry is available by contacting the team.
