Snorkel with Wild Sea Turtles at Cook Island – Gold Coast & Tweed
Overview
Our signature half-day tour takes you to swim with wild sea turtles at Cook Island Marine Reserve, just 15 minutes off the Gold Coast and Tweed Heads.
Meet our friendly crew at Tweed Heads for a gear fitting and relaxed safety briefing, then cruise out past the river mouth — dolphins often join, and from June to November humpback whales pass on their migration. At Cook Island you'll spend around 60–90 minutes in calm, clear water alongside resident green, hawksbill and loggerhead turtles, plus leopard sharks, rays and hundreds of colourful reef fish. A guide stays with you the whole time.
Beginners are welcome — you just need to be comfortable in the water, and flotation aids are provided when requested . Suitable for ages 10 and up, it's a genuine ocean adventure the whole family can share.
Small groups mean a personal, unhurried experience, and a portion of every booking supports Green Heroes turtle conservation. Come for the turtles — leave a little bit obsessed with the ocean.
