Hunter Valley Cooking School

Hunter Valley Cooking School is a hands-on food experience at Hunter Farm in Pokolbin, designed for couples, friends, families, corporate groups and anyone who enjoys learning through doing.

In the purpose-built Cooking School Kitchen, participants work with fresh local produce while learning practical cooking techniques. The experience covers kitchen skills and terminology, frying and searing, and preparing dishes including canapés, Vietnamese spring rolls and profiteroles.

Participants then sit down to enjoy the lunch they have helped create and receive a personalised Hunter Valley Cooking School certificate.

Cooking School is just one of the many ways to play at Hunter Farm. Across the family-owned 100-acre property, visitors can also discover Hunter Valley Wine School, Hunter Wine Theatre, wine tasting, grape stomping, barrel rolling, pizza making and candy making.

There is plenty for non-wine drinkers too. Meet the farm animals, enjoy horse riding or a horse-drawn carriage tour, or try Hunter Adventure Centre experiences including Segway tours, archery, axe throwing and laser target shooting.
