Unearth imagined or inner landscapes in this hands-on drawing workshop with artist Lily Cummins.

With an emphasis on play, this workshop encourages participants to be led by colour, allowing a personal narrative to reveal itself. Using mixed media, we will start with a gentle material exploration of coloured pencils, textas, oil crayons, acrylics. As the workshop unfolds participants are invited to delve into scenes and spaces from memories, dreams, or invention to create their own expressive mark-making.

Based in the Southern Highlands, Lily Cummins' practice spans painting, drawing, and installation art. Holding a Master of Fine Arts from the National Art School, she has exhibited widely across Australia, including Ngununggula's Annual Artist Project commission in 2025. Cummins explores personal narratives, and the inner landscapes of the self, by using expressive mark-making to weave figures, landscapes, and architectural motifs into a liminal space between memory, time, and mysticism.
