Two pianists, one piano, four hands, in a gallery. Composer Elena Kats-Chernin AO and ARIA award-winning pianist Tamara-Anna Cislowska bring Ancient Letters to Manning Regional Art Gallery. The concert is presented by Music in the Regions in partnership with the Friends of Manning Regional Art Gallery.
You may already know Elena's music: Eliza Aria, Russian Rag from Mary and Max, and the score for the Oscar-nominated Memoir of a Snail. Tamara has recorded eleven number one albums and presents Duet on ABC Classic.
They have played together since 1995 and play from sketches rather than a finished score, rebuilding each piece live, so no two concerts are the same.
Pre-concert drinks and finger food platters are available from 6.30pm.
