Wombat Heights Orchard is a family-friendly orchard near the charming village of Wombat in the Hilltops Region, offering a seasonal fruit-picking experience surrounded by picturesque countryside.
A sister orchard to Hill-Lock Orchard, Wombat Heights grows a range of cherries, sugar plums and peaches. Visitors can enjoy pick-your-own experiences in the orchard or purchase freshly harvested fruit from the shed. Additional premium cherry varieties are also available through shed sales.
Cherry season typically runs from mid-November through to Christmas, weather conditions permitting. Visitors are encouraged to wander among the fruit trees, fill a basket with sun-ripened produce and experience a working orchard in the Cherry Capital of Australia.
There is no entry fee to visit. As seasonal conditions can affect harvest times and fruit availability, visitors are encouraged to contact the orchard directly or check their social media page for the latest season updates, opening information and current pricing per kilogram.
Coaches and larger groups are welcome, with bookings essential.
