Sunday Table with Hevi
Overview
Sunday Table returns to The Upperhouse with a menu inspired by the food, flavours and recipes Hevi grew up with.
A shared-style long lunch designed for slowing down, passing plates around the table and trying something a little different with your favourite people.
For this edition, Hevi, a familiar face from the Royal Hotel team, steps into the kitchen alongside Executive Chef Wayne Alger to share the dishes she grew up with. Inspired by recipes taught to her by her mother through years spent cooking side by side in the kitchen, the menu explores Indonesian and Hakka flavours through generous shared plates including choi pan, satay skewers and an eighteen-hour slow-cooked short rib rendang, finished with ice cendol for dessert.
Held in The Manhattan Room of The Upperhouse, Sunday Table is about catching up with loved ones, sharing food across the table and taking time to enjoy being together around a Sunday Table, the way we used to. A shared-plate lunch designed to bring people together over good food and conversation.
