The Great Southeastern Loop
Overview
The Great Southeastern Loop is an exhilarating 1,263-kilometre ultra cycling adventure through Southeastern New South Wales, which must be completed within 157 hours.
Over the course of one unforgettable week, participants will dig deep to complete this epic route with climbing a total of over 17,000m of elevation, on a mix of sealed and gravel surfaces and experiencing the stunning Southeast of NSW in all it's grandeur along winding country roads, scenic valleys, along stunning rivers, through forests and plains and up through the majestic Snowy Mountain Alps.
Starting and finishing in Wollongong one of Australia's most iconic coastal cities only 90 minutes from Sydney the ride passes through towns including Campbelltown, Camden, Picton, MIttagong, Moss Vale, Bundanoon, Marulan, Taralga, Crookwell, Boorowa, Tumut, Tumbarumba, Khancoban, Thredbo, Jindabyne, Dalgety, Cooma, Majors Creek, Braidwood, Nerriga, Nowra, Kiama and Shellharbour.
With checkpoints in Bundanoon, Tumut and Majors Creek, riders will get to meet locals and experience the unique warmth and hospitality of country NSW.
