An accredited Visitor Information Centre located within the beautiful Southern Gateway Centre. With stunning 180-degree water views from the viewing platform, this truly is the gateway to the south!

A nine-screen video array that displays bespoke videos, telling the history, culture and significance of Dharawal Country. The display includes videos from the previous Jumbulla Aboriginal Interpretive Centre and specially commissioned videos of Dharawal Elders telling stories of Dharawal Country – commissioned by Wollongong City Council.

The stunning panoramic photo overlooking Wollongong is revitalised with Aboriginal places and attraction names that tell the stories of significant Aboriginal locations to acknowledge First Nations culture.

The Visitor Information Centre, with its innovative and modern interior design, is a shop front for visitors to Wollongong and the South Coast. Access to tourist information regarding activities and attractions, restaurants and cafes.

A booking service is available.

Enjoy a meal at the adjoining restaurant and café, Altitude 1148, or enjoy freshly made gelato at the Gelato Emporium.

There is plenty of free parking available, complimentary Wi-Fi along with public amenities including an accessible toilet and baby change facilities.
