Kiama Downs is a scenic and peaceful local township a few minutes drive north of Kiama. It is linked by cycleways and footpaths to Bombo Beach in the south, Minnamurra River in the north and Jamberoo in the west.
Jones Beach is a popular surfing beach with a north-easterly aspect. It is home to the local boardriders' club and patrolled Surf Lifesaving Club volunteers. You can hop across the road to find cafes, a supermarket and of course the iconic coastal fish and chips.
Take a walk to the southern end of Jones Beach to the stunning Cathedral Rocks, a distinctive rock formation that has been shaped by years of weathering and erosion. Enjoy the stunning views that this rocky outcrop provides and don't forget your camera - this is a great spot for a picture, especially at sunrise!
Heading north you'll find the Minnamurra Whale Watching Platform and a path that rounds the headland to Minnamurra River.
