Rangoon Island, also known as Stack Island, was named after the shipwreck of the 'Rangoon' in 1870.
Located north of Kiama at the mouth of the Minnamurra River, the island is known for its striking basalt rock formations and spectacular coastal scenery.
Home to scores of local seabirds, it is best viewed from the cliffs of Minnamurra Headland which is part of the scenic Kiama Coast Walk.
