Carving by the Coast brings Waiting for Spring's relaxed woodcarving workshops to the beautiful surrounds of Bangalay Luxury Villas in Shoalhaven Heads.

Set beside Seven Mile Beach on the New South Wales South Coast, the workshops offer a chance to slow down, work with natural timber and discover the simple pleasure of making something by hand.

South Coast woodcarver Rachel Shaw guides beginners through traditional hand-tool carving techniques in small, welcoming workshops. Guests can create their own functional timber piece while learning about carving tools, timber and the marks that make handmade objects unique.
The experience takes place outdoors in the coastal gardens and surrounds of Bangalay Luxury Villas, just moments from the sweeping sands of Seven Mile Beach.

Visitors can come for a single workshop or turn the experience into a creative coastal escape. Stay at Bangalay, enjoy the restaurant, walk along Seven Mile Beach and spend time exploring Shoalhaven Heads and the surrounding region.

Presented as part of Sydney Craft Week, Carving by the Coast combines creativity, traditional craft and the natural beauty of the South Coast in an experience designed for complete beginners.
