Feltmaking, sculptural textures using resists: an Arts Muster workshop
Overview
Felt soft wool fibres into robust sculptural shapes with Anita Johnson (Larkin). This workshop will teach you how to use resists in feltmaking. You will create a small wall-hanging and a vessel form with 3-D surface textures like cracked mud, barnacles or rock-pool patterns.
Suitable for ages 16 plus.
This two-day workshop will begin with an introduction to feltmaking, and students will complete a small wall hanging with interesting textural effects reminiscent of cracked mud, rock pools or barnacles.
On the second day, students will make a vessel using the resist method and integrate the techniques from the previous day.
This event is part of the Arts Muster Festival, Huskisson.
