Dead Horse Gap
Dead Horse Gap is located only a few kilometres from Thredbo and crosses the Great Dividing Range at 1580 metres and is the watershed between the Thredbo Snowy System and the Murray River.
The reference to dead horses apparently relates to the brumbies that sometimes became trapped in this area during unexpected snowfalls and died. Come and enjoy the magnificent views into New South Wales and Victoria. Parking is available and there is access to walking tracks.
