Steampunk @ Altitude
Overview
Steampunk @ Altitude is an annual festival of all things Victoriana mixed with the age of technology and imagination.
Think of Jules Verne novels to the HG Wells Time Machine to Tesla versus Edison, and even at a stretch, Harry Potter! Combine this with an overwhelming passion for fashion and you have a gala event where everyone dresses up and becomes another character larger than life! Set in the south-eastern village of Nimmitabel, which at 1,100 metres above sea level, echoes the era perfectly.
Featured recently on the ABC TV "Backroads" program in all its splendour - a unique event not to be missed every first weekend of May.
