New Annual: Global Table

Across two nights, Wheeler Place transforms into a global gathering bringing world-class food, live performance, and cultural storytelling to the city centre. Hosted by writer and comedian Jennifer Wong, along with writer Benjamin Law and local chef personality Reece Hignell, Global Table is your invitation to eat, explore, and celebrate, right in the heart of Newcastle.

Expect food from around the world, live performance and cultural storytelling, with each night having its own flavour. Wheeler Place will be transformed with atmospheric lighting, a live stage, a bar, and plenty of space to settle in, eat well, and soak it all up. A line-up of guest food vendors will bring tastes of the world to your plate.

Night One: Asia - Join hosts Jennifer Wong and Benjamin Law and immerse yourself in a night of Asian cuisine and culture, with live chef demonstrations, traditional and contemporary dance, and captivating performances. Featuring cooking demonstrations from MasterChef Australia contestant Depinder Chibber, DJ Maggie Tra on the decks, Taiko Drumming, Lantern Making and more to be announced.

Night Two: South America - Join Jennifer Wong and Reece Hignell and experience a night of South American food, wine, music, drumming, fire and dance. Featuring Mexidahlia Mexican Dance Group, Samba Frog, Latin jazz from MIRA, cooking demonstrations from Pampa Flame, Day of the Dead art workshops and more to be announced.
