Roughly halfway between Port Macquarie and Coffs Harbour lies the sleepy coastal town of South West Rocks. Bordered by Trial Bay to the north, Shark Island and Macleay River to the east, and Hat Head National Park to the south, the South West Rocks area is a treasure trove of natural beauty. Among the greatest attractions in the area are South West Rocks’ beaches; Trial Bay and Main Beach are popular with families, while South Smoky Beach and Horseshoe Bay are well-known surfing spots.

Accommodation at South West Rocks includes a number of well-located holiday parks, campgrounds and caravan sites. Many of these are located within walking distance of shops, restaurants and, of course, the beach. The town’s hotels, motor inns and motels offer a hassle-free holiday with features including kitchenettes, flat screen TVs, swimming pools, outdoor barbecue areas and recreation rooms.
